Benefits of working with us

We’ve partnered with utility contractors for over 20 years, providing competitive asset values, and expert, tailored support and guidance for every adoption. An asset value is a payment we make to our clients for adopting and operating the network.

We’ve also developed our focus on electric vehicles (EV), and now offer a dedicated delivery team and our unique Get Connected service to Charge Point Operators.

Managing points of connection

We will look after your point of connection (POC) from when you apply, including talking with your current Distribution Network Operators (DNO) on timescales, resolving issues where demand for POC load outstrips supply, and ensuring we get the most commercially viable option for your site needs.

Detailed electrical designs

We will work with a national electricity registration scheme-accredited designer early in the process to speed and smooth the land rights process, secure design authority approval and provide the basis for high quality, fixed tenders from Independent Connection Providers (ICPs) to carry out the work.

Accelerating Land Rights

Land rights are often the biggest barrier for supplying energy, with frequent, long delays. Our internal legal team specialises in finding the most appropriate and effective route for agreeing land rights so you get connected as fast as possible.

Managing ICP selection

Land rights are often the biggest barrier for supplying energy, with frequent, long delays. Our internal legal team specialises in finding the most appropriate and effective route for agreeing land rights so you get connected as fast as possible.

Advising on equipment procurement

Lead times for procuring substation and GRP enclosures have increased significantly. Our centralised procurement strategy provides greater cost and programme control via a range of UK suppliers. We can also advise you on whether equipment is suitable, and ensure it meets our and DNO specifications.

Adopting connection assets

As an Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO), with more than 20+ years’ experience, we can offer you an asset value with several options to help you fund your EV schemes.

A dedicated EV account manager will ensure all asset value requests are managed and delivered quickly and effectively.

Market-leading asset management support

Our national coverage includes 1 million customers and 5,000+ electricity distribution networks – ranging from 132KV down to low-voltage networks.
